TYC-Toucan workshop on "Shaping Nanocatalys ... (No replies)
Back to Event listings...
On 14-16 December 2016 the 4th series of the TYC-Energy Materials workshop will be held at the King's College London. The workshop is organised jointly with EPSRC-Toucan critical mass. The format is 3/4 day tutorial with presentation offered by the Toucan groups (see http://www.stchem.bham.ac.uk/~toucan/) and 2 full days workshop -we aim to finish by early afternoon on Friday.
The aim of this workshop is to explore the opportunities for the characterization and optimization of nanocatalysts arising from recent advances in controlling their formation process. The control of the geometrical shape of multi-metallic nanoparticles is an efficient way to tune electronic properties and physicochemical features. This workshop will focus on addressing how morphology influences catalytic activity, including the use of plasmonic nanoparticles as nanocatalysts. There are 20 invited speakers from EU, USA and Brazil. We are accepting contribution talk and poster presentation. Please visit the TYC web site, http://www.thomasyoungcentre.org/events/energy-materials-workshop/ for more info and important deadlines.
