Dear all,

There are only two days left to benefit from the early-bird rate at the SAMSON School (350 euro for full pension thanks to the generous support allowed by an ERC grant).

There, you will learn how to use SAMSON, the software platform for computational nanoscience, and SAMSON Elements (modules for SAMSON), as well as how to develop your own SAMSON Elements.

The program includes lectures about setting up SAMSON on Windows, Linux or Mac, and using its core functionalities, as well as introductions to the current most popular SAMSON Elements, from simple SAMSON Elements defining e.g. selection editors, to more advanced SAMSON Elements offering complex functionality, e.g. interactive simulation with quantum mechanics or GROMACS force fields, modeling of carbon nanotubes and graphene sheets, protein-ligand docking with Vina, etc.

The program also includes lectures about setting up the SAMSON Software Development Kit (SDK) and developing your own SAMSON Elements. In these interactive lectures, you will learn how to develop new apps (e.g. to wrap your existing tools for computational nanoscience, to connect to web servers, etc., or to perform new tasks), force fields, editors (e.g. to make it easy to edit molecules or construct new ones), visual representations, property calculations, etc. and, when you want to, how to share your SAMSON Elements on SAMSON Connect so that other people can install them in one click.

Important dates:

- Until April 30: early bird rate - 350 euro for full pension

- After April 30: regular rate - 450 euro for full pension

- June 13-17: SAMSON School

Please visit https://project.inria.fr/samsonschool2016 for more information.

We hope you will join us there!

Best regards!

The SAMSON Team
