NOMAD Midsummer School for PhD students and early career postdocs: Riga, June 15-21, 2022 – in person

With 10¹⁸ floating point operations per second, exascale computers will be able to simulate and analyze complex processes more realistically than what is possible today. This will allow to study systems of higher complexity (in space and time) and to achieve higher accuracy and higher precision. In close contact with academia and industry, the NOMAD Center of Excellence (https://nomad-coe.eu/) will develop exascale algorithms to build reliable models for real-world, complex materials. We will provide exascale software and artificial intelligence (AI) methods that provide more efficient workflows and advanced modeling.

The NOMAD Midsummer School will feature tutorial lectures by world renowned scientists as well as hands-on tutorials and hackathons on developments of exascale solutions in Green function methods and advanced DFT.
