Dear colleagues,

We would like to bring your attention to the symposium “Data-Driven Modelling and Machine Learning for Engineering Applications” that we are organizing at the EMI conference (Durham, UK, April 5-8, 2020):

The (already extended and final) deadline for abstract submission is November 30, 2019.

More details about the symposium:
The goal of this symposium is to discuss recent advances in data-driven modeling and machine learning methodologies applied to research areas in physics, chemical engineering, civil, mechanical, and materials science.

Examples of topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Machine-learning-based materials screening and selection
- Informatics approaches for micro-/meso-structure characterization
- Physics-driven machine learning
- Decoding mechanics from data-based models
- Developing constitutive and structure-property models from machine learning

Please let me know if you need more information. We look forward to seeing you in Durham!

Best regards,

Mathieu Bauchy (UCLA)
