Computer modelling of thermal transport at the nanoscale

Symposium U @ E-MRS Spring 2017 Meeting

This is to remind that the
 
DEADLINE FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSION: JANUARY 18, 2017
 
Symposium highlights
  • The Symposium will address fundamental issues related to thermal transport, in particular: phonon behaviour, interactions, and manipulation in nanoscale materials and systems
  • New methodologies to quantify phonon behaviours and novel simulation methods will be discussed as well.
  • The Symposium will last two days and it will be organized in four topical sessions, each opened by an invited keynote lecture.
  • Keynote Speakers (alphabetic order):
    • Dick BEDEAUX (NTUT, Trondheim, Norway)
    • Giuliano BENENTI (U. Insubria, Como, Italy)
    • Davide DONADIO (UC Davis, California, USA)
    • Javier RODRÍGUEZ-VIEJO (UAB, Barcelona, Spain)
  • Additionally, some selected contributed abstracts will be upgraded to invited talks.
  • A number of graduate student awards will be granted, upon selection among the best presentations.
 
You are invited to submit an abstract for this Symposium and to contribute to the success of this conference (even by circulating this announcement to anyone potentially interested).
