Dear all,

We are happy to announce that the registration for the Quantum Matters in Materials Science (QMMS) workshop is now open. The QMMS workshop will be held at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Maryland, USA on May 4-5, 2020. We have speakers from leading industries such as Google, IBM, Microsoft and universities such as Princeton University, UC Berkeley, Rutgers University, University of Maryland. We plan to have several discussion sessions followed by the invited talks.

The registration is free, but seats are limited. Registration is mandatory for site-access.

Please register only if you plan to attend the workshop. Although there is no registration fee, we have to pay an internal-fee for each registered attendee at NIST.

There will be a poster-session, see the registration link for more information.

Some of the key topics to be addressed by both theory and experiments are: 1) discovery and characterization of new superconductors/topological materials, 2) optimization of known quantum materials, 3) investigation of defect induced behavior and transitions, 4) quantum memory applications, and 5) challenges in applying Quantum Information Processing (QIS) technologies at industrial scale.

Hope to see you at the workshop!

Best wishes,

Organizers
