Psi-K 2022 C2 symposium (deadline: May 31): join ... (No replies)

We announce the C2 symposium on functional materials to show that ab-initio theoretical spectroscopy and multi-scale methods can drive and shape the field of nanotechnology for biosensing and catalysis, and of quantum technologies. Two invited talks will be given by Prof. Karsten Reuter and Chris van de Walle which can broadly overview these research fields. Contributed oral presentations are welcome and considered for registered persons with abstract submission till May 31!
In particular, functional materials exhibit physical properties attractive for electronics, energy conversion and storage, information technologies, sensing, bio-medical applications and many others. Tailoring the magneto-optical and electronic properties of these materials leads to novel or exotic functionalities that may be harnessed and advance technology, e.g., coherently manipulated atomic defects spins or hidden interface states in nanocrystalline solids. The symposium focuses on applications of the electronic structure theory in studies of functional materials.
We call for abstracts in the scope of the C2 symposium. The abstracts can be submitted requested for oral presentation after registration at Psi-K website till May 31. Later submissions will be only considered for poster presentation.
