We announce the B3 symposium on the theoretical description of electrified solid-liquid interfaces to showcase the significant progress that has been achieved in recent years.

Atomistic modelling of solid-liquid interfaces in the context of electrocatalytic and electrochemical transformations is a challenging task, considering the complex structure and behavior of liquids at interfaces as resulting from interfacial charge transfer processes and long-range electrolyte screening effects. The understanding of these is in particular important as they are often key to the function of electrochemical energy conversion systems such as fuel cells, electrolyzers and non-solid-state batteries. The symposium is supposed to provide a stage for recent developments in the computational description of such phenomena at different time and length scales.

We have three invited talks that will give in overview of modelling approaches from the atomistic to the continuum level, namely Dr. Mira Todorova, Prof. Dr. Oliviero Andreussi and Dr. Hendrik Heenen.

We hereby call for abstracts in the scope of the B3 symposium. The abstracts can be submitted requested for oral presentation after registration at Psi-K website till May 31. Later submissions will be only considered for poster presentation.
