Announcements of conferences, workshops, schools…

Due to the large number of posts recently, there is currently a delay of several weeks between posts being submitted and the corresponding emails being distributed to all users. Please bear with us while we try to improve this. In the meantime – and until this notice is removed – it would assist us considerably if you could submit only important and/or urgent posts and thus help to reduce the size of the mail queue. Under no circumstances should you resend posts multiple times when you find the emails are not distributed immediately.

In light of the Russian military offensive in Ukraine, we request that announcements relating to events, jobs and other activities associated with institutions supported by the Russian and Belarusian states are not posted to the Psi-k forum.

NOMAD-FAIR-DI workshop on Shared Metadata and Data Formats for Big-Data Driven Materials Science

Following a successful CECAM workshop in 2016 and a subsequent Psi-k Highlight (''Towards a Common Format for Computational Materials Science Data https://psi-k.net/download/highlights/Highlight_131.pdf) NOMAD (https://nomad-coe.eu) and FAIR-DI (https://fairdi.eu) will have a follow-up event in Berlin (July 8-12, 2019).

So far, the work focused on computational materials science, and this will still pay a key role at the upcoming workshop. However, the advantage of the status reached so far will only fully become apparent when the same will have been achieved also for experimental data.

Registrations are open until April 30. For registering and finding more information, please visit: https://th.fhi-berlin.mpg.de/meetings/meta2019/

Kind regards,
The team of organizers
