Multiscale Modeling of Matter under Extreme Cond ... (No replies)
Back to Event listings...
We welcome you to join us for a workshop on the frontiers of condensed matter physics and plasma physics, at a beautiful location and with a friendly atmosphere.
The workshop will be held September 11 - 16, 2022 in the beautiful town of Görlitz, east of Dresden, and is hosted by the Center for Advanced Systems Understanding, Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf.
The abstract submission is now open (deadline June 3, 2022).
Please submit your abstract here: https://events.hifis.net/event/229/
Scientific scope
This workshop brings together experts from the spectrum of available modeling techniques (including quantum Monte-Carlo, many-body theory, density functional theory, large-scale molecular dynamics, particle-in-cell, and fluid dynamics simulations). Presentations on these methods will be complemented by experts in data science, artificial intelligence, and experiments. The goal is to summarize the state of the art, identify the current caveats of each methodology, and devise strategies for achieving multiscale workflows.
Target audience
Experts and junior researchers (Ph.D. students and postdocs) who develop relevant mathematical, theoretical, and computational methods.
