During the week of Aug. 17-21, 2015, we will hold a Modeling
Materials short course to be held at Friedrich-Alexander-Universitat,
Erlangen, Germany.

This intensive 5-day course includes many topics of interest to multiscale
materials modelers, including continuum mechanics, interatomic
potentials, molecular dynamics and multiscale techniques like the
quasicontinuum (QC) method. The course is taught entirely by
Profs. Ellad Tadmor and Ron Miller using an integrated set of notes,
as well as hands-on tutorials and demonstrations with software like
LAMMPS and the QC method. Copies of the books "Modeling Materials"
(By Tadmor and Miller) and "Continuum Mechanics and Thermodynamics"
(by Tadmor, Miller and Elliott) are included with registration.
