The Thomas Young Centre and its partners; the University of Kent, University of Oxford, Queen’s University Belfast and the University of Southampton, have the great pleasure to announce that to mark one year of service of the Tier 2 Materials & Molecular Modelling (MMM) Hub, we are holding a debut conference in London between Wednesday 5th and Friday 7th September 2018.

The MMM Hub is a national Tier 2 high performance computing centre, established in 2017 specifically for materials and molecular modelling research.  It was funded by a £4 million EPSRC grant, with a further £2 million+ contribution from its partner organisations.  The MMM Hub is of key importance to modern materials science and hosts a large number of users from all over the country.

We have a fantastic line-up of eminent keynote and invited speakers who are joining us to talk about and discuss their recent research in materials modelling and HPC-enabled research.  The aim of the conference is to increase cohesion across the UK modelling community, and to provide a platform for the world-class science taking place at this specialist HPC centre.

Ticket price includes an invitation to the delegate dinner we are hosting on the evening of Thursday 6th September, and refreshments throughout the conference spanning 3 days.

When: 1.30pm Wednesday 5th to 12.30pm Friday 7th September 2018
Venue: Jeffery Hall, Institute of Education, 20 Bedford Way, London

Register here.  The deadline for registration is Friday 3rd August 2018

We invite poster submissions which will be on display throughout the conference.  If you would like to present a poster of your research at the meeting, please submit your poster title and abstract here.  The deadline to submit title and abstract is Monday 16th July 2018.
