Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to announce the call for abstracts for the mini-colloquium titled 'Ion beam induced morphological alteration of materials: experiments, theoretical models and simulations' which will take place during the 30th general conference of the Condensed Matter Division (CMD) of the European Physical Society (EPS).
The CMD30-FisMat2023 meeting will be at the Politecnico di Milano, Italy, from September 4 to September 8, 2023 (https://eventi.cnism.it/cmd30-fismat)
The mini-colloquium 'Ion beam induced morphological alteration of materials: experiments, theoretical models and simulations' aims to provide an in-depth overview of the current status of understanding the modifications of materials properties (bulk and low-dimensional structures) under ion beam irradiation, including both experiments and atomistic modelling contributions. The focus is on:
- Ion beam technology for 2D materials
- Doping by ion implantation: theory and experiments
- Atomistic modelling of defects in bulk and low-dimensional structures
- Ion beam irradiation in semiconductors
The list of confirmed invited speakers includes :
- Andrej Kuznetsov (University of Oslo, Norway)
- Marco Abbarchi (Aix-Marseilles University, France)
- Christoph Lemell (Vienna University of Technology, Austria)
- Enrico Napolitani (University of Padova, Italy)
- Chris Ewels (Centre national de la recherche scientifique, France)
- Przemysław Jozwik (National Centre for Nuclear Research, Poland)
We invite you to submit your abstract for posters and contributed talks here:

The ABSTRACT SUBMISSION DEADLINE is 15th April 2023.
Please, do not hesitate to contact us for any questions you may have.
Looking forward to receiving your abstract soon, and to welcoming you in Milan next September!
