Dear friends,

we are glad to announce the International workshop “Challenges in Designing Room Temperature Superconductors”, which will take place inl'Aquila, Italy, from the 26th to the 29th of July 2022. The workshop is co-organized by Lilia Boeri (Sapienza, Rome), Richard Hennig and Peter Hirschfeld (University of Florida), Gianni Profeta (University of l'Aquila), Antonio Sanna (MPI Halle) and Eva Zurek (University Buffalo, USA) and is funded by CECAM, PSIK, Universita' dell'Aquila and Regione Abruzzo.

The program will feature contributions from international experts on high pressure research, computational material design, electronic structure theory and  superconductivity, who will give an overview of the current research in superconductor design, with a particular focus on recent discoveries in high-pressure hydrogen and hydrides and new methodological developments.

The attendance is free, but for organisational reasons the number of on-site participants is limited to 125 (there is in principle no limitation to the number of online attendants, but registration is required). The deadline for registration is May, 31st 2022 .
