It is my pleasure to announce the upcoming hands-on VASP workshop on surface and interface electronic structure modelling. It is supported by the Institute of Physics (IOP), and hosted on Oct. 22-23 at Thornton Science Park, Chester, U.K.

On the first day, the VASP developers will elaborate on the basics of DFT, hybrid ab initio methods, as well as GW. They will focus on electronic structure modelling in the bulk, as well as new capabilities of the code. The second day will expand on surfaces and interfaces. Q&A are encouraged throughout the hands-on sessions.

Registration fee is £30 for IOP members and £50 for non-IOP members. Maximum number of attendees is 30, allocated on a first-come first-serve basis, so please book your place early!
