The next ETSF seminar will be given by Marie Labeye from the École Normale Supérieure in Paris on Friday February 2 at 14:00 CET. 
The title of the talk is “Theoretical approach of strong-field light-matter interaction”.

Abstract:
 
A wide variety of phenomena can be observed when light interacts with matter. In this talk I will describe some of the processes that can be observed when the intensity of the light gets very large, like tunnel ionization and high-order harmonic generation. I will try to give some intuition of these processes, and explain how we can model them theoretically.
