Announcements of conferences, workshops, schools…

Due to the large number of posts recently, there is currently a delay of several weeks between posts being submitted and the corresponding emails being distributed to all users. Please bear with us while we try to improve this. In the meantime – and until this notice is removed – it would assist us considerably if you could submit only important and/or urgent posts and thus help to reduce the size of the mail queue. Under no circumstances should you resend posts multiple times when you find the emails are not distributed immediately.

In light of the Russian military offensive in Ukraine, we request that announcements relating to events, jobs and other activities associated with institutions supported by the Russian and Belarusian states are not posted to the Psi-k forum.

ELMO-LION (Educational Learning Modules on Li-ION batteries) presents an innovative European battery technology 6 ETCS Credit Ph.D. course supported by EIT RawMaterials. The course is structured into three modules: "Online Lectures," "Project Work," and "Summer School."

The "Online Lectures" module comprises 8 two-hour sessions delivered by renowned battery experts, covering fundamental theories, advanced technologies, conventional Li batteries, and alternative electrochemical energy storage systems. The lectures include exercises and exams.

In the "Project Work" module, students develop ideas to address cases provided by industrial partners. This collaborative effort involves group work, mentor supervision, report writing, and peer grading.

The "Summer School" module spans 5 days in Italy and features lectures and seminars from industrial and academic partners. During the Summer School, students continue group project work, supervised by both industrial and academic mentors, addressing real-world industrial problems. They are required to provide solutions, prepare reports, and submit proposals for startup funding.

Upon the successful completion of any module, students receive a 2 ETCS certificate from LUT University.
