Due to the COVID-19 situation, we have had to cancel the Electronic Structure Workshop planned for 2-5 June 2020 at the University of California, Merced. We have postponed instead to 1-4 June 2021, again at UC Merced, and hope to see you there. Registration will be available in March 2021, with details to be provided at https://physics.ucmerced.edu/electronic-structure-workshop.

On the other hand, in lieu of the workshop this year, we will host some virtual Electronic Structure Workshop activities during the original dates 3-5 June 2020. See further details at https://physics.ucmerced.edu/electronic-structure-workshop.

• Code tutorials, facilitated by Zoom and using the Cori supercomputer at NERSC
  • BerkeleyGW: GW approximation and Bethe-Salpeter equation
  • PARSEC: real-space DFT
  • Wannier-Berri: Berry curvature and orbital moments
  • Qball/inq: plane-wave DFT and real-time TDDFT
