Dear friends,

we are glad to announce that registrations are now open for the mini colloquium

Lattice vibrations: lifetime, transport and (quantum) thermodynamics

that will be held in Lyon, France, on the 26th of August 2022, as a part of the «Condensed Matter Days» (Journées de la Matière Condensée or JMC) organized by the French Physical Society (SFP).

The aim of this colloquium is to bring together theoreticians and experimentalists working on lattice vibration beyond harmonic theory, including measurement and calculation of lifetime from intrinsic and extrinsic interactions, transport properties and models, quantum regime of ionic motion also at extreme conditions. For more information, see the colloquium announcement.
We accept contributions for 15 minutes talks and posters. To submit your abstract, please go to the JMC registration page.

Since 1988, the «Journées de la Matière Condensée» have been organized every two years by the Condensed Matter Physics Division of the SFP. The topics discussed cover all the fields related to condensed matter, from concepts to applications. The success of these days makes it the largest national congress of Condensed Matter Physics in France (600-700 participants). The 18th edition will be held in Lyon from August 22 to 26, 2022.

The colloquium organizers: Michele Casula (IMPMC, Sorbonne Université), Philippe Depondt (INSP, Sorbonne Université), Fabio Finocchi (INSP, Sorbonne Université), Lorenzo Paulatto (IMPMC, Sorbonne Université)
