We call for registrations for the CECAM flagship workshop "Computational materials discovery of unconventional magnets" that will be held at CECAM-Headquarters, Lausanne in hybrid format from 27th Oct to 29th Oct 2021.
This workshop brings together expert researchers both from theory and experiments (See the attached poster for the list of invited speakers) working on different aspects of the field to present the latest advancements and to discuss the efforts required to expedite the discovery of new unconventional magnetic materials.
The key topics that will be focused are:
-- Quantum spin liquid candidates
-- Materials hosting Skyrmions and non-collinear magnetic phases
-- Two-dimensional magnetic materials
-- Magnetic materials hosting topologically protected phases
-- Magnetism in nanomaterials and defect-induced magnetism
-- High-throughput computational search and design of materials

Attendance can be onsite or online and is free of cost and but registration is required. A valid COVID pass of vaccination or recovery (Switzerland recognizes EU certificates) needs to be in possession for onsite attendance.
We encourage all prospective participants to submit an abstract for oral contribution or poster presentation.
