At this catalysis summer school at Stanford University, we bring together world experts in the fields of computational catalysis, thermal catalysis, and electrocatalysis, who together with local researchers will provide participants with both tutorial-style presentations and research talks.

This year’s Institute will have a focus on fundamental concepts in catalysis research and characterization, and latest research on advanced materials for catalytic processes and sustainable pathways to fuels and chemicals. A special section will be dedicated to “challenging transformations”, that will provide participants with insights on some of the most exciting and formidable challenges in catalysis.

The Institute is particularly aimed at graduate students and early career researchers in chemical engineering, chemistry, physics, or materials science, with an interest in experimental or theoretical studies of surface chemical processes and their applications in energy and environmental catalytic transformations.
