We are calling for contributed talks and posters to a colloquium on the following topic (see attached pdf) :

Electronic and magnetic properties of correlated materials with strong spin-orbit coupling

It will take place during the “Journées de la Matière Condensée”, France’s largest condensed-matter conference, to be held in Rennes (a 1h40 train ride away from Paris) from August 24th to 28th 2020. The goal of this workshop is to bring together both communities from strongly correlated materials science and solid state chemistry, and focusses on 4d and 5d transition metal oxides. The invited speakers are Yvan SIDIS (LLB, CEA Saclay, Gif sur Yvette) and Manuel ZINGL (CCQ, Flatiron Institute, New York).
