We would like to announce a virtual school that Brookhaven National Laboratory's Computational Materials Science Center, Comscope, is running during the week of June 21:

This school will provide an introduction including hands-on training to the software that the Center has been developing.  Two code packages will be taught that offer differing approaches to capturing the behavior of strongly correlated materials in a first principles framework.  The first, FlapwMBPT (Full-potential Linearized Augmented Plane Wave with Many Body Perturbation Theory) is a first principles code that permits computations going beyond the GW approximation including the computation of vertex corrections.  The second, Comsuite, is a software package that offers three different versions of dynamical mean field theory (DMFT) in a first principles framework: LDA+DMFT, GW+DMFT, and Rotationally Invariant Slave Bosons+LDA.
