This is a gentle reminder on NOMAD Summer, a hands-on course on tools for novel-materials discovery, taking place Sep. 25-29, 2017 at the Science Campus of the Humboldt-Universität Berlin.

We only have a few places left. Registration closes June 3, 2017, but since participants are accepted on a first come first serve basis, we may be fully booked by then. So be quick!

This summer school will demonstrate the achievements of the NOMAD Laboratory Centre of Excellence (https://NOMAD-CoE.eu) to academia and industry, and teach novice and advanced researchers how to use the tools that we have developed. These include

• The NOMAD Encyclopedia, a search engine for materials and their properties, which provides a materials-oriented view on several millions calculations;

• Advanced visualization tools- including virtual reality, which make physical processes easier to understand;

• A variety of novel data-analytics tools, tailored for materials science, which will enable the community to predict novel materials with tailored functions;
