Announcements of conferences, workshops, schools…

Due to the large number of posts recently, there is currently a delay of several weeks between posts being submitted and the corresponding emails being distributed to all users. Please bear with us while we try to improve this. In the meantime – and until this notice is removed – it would assist us considerably if you could submit only important and/or urgent posts and thus help to reduce the size of the mail queue. Under no circumstances should you resend posts multiple times when you find the emails are not distributed immediately.

In light of the Russian military offensive in Ukraine, we request that announcements relating to events, jobs and other activities associated with institutions supported by the Russian and Belarusian states are not posted to the Psi-k forum.

We are pleased to announce a hands-on workshop focused on the development of atomic cluster expansion (ACE) models. The aim of the workshop is to help participants to train and validate their own ACE models. It will consist of several introductory lectures from ACE developers followed by hands-on tutorials of the ACE software packages (PACEmaker, PACE-lammps, active learning). Participants are encouraged to bring and work with their own DFT training data but several training datasets will be provided as well.

The workshop is free of charge and will take place on June 13-15, 2023 at the Interdisciplinary Centre for Advanced Materials Simulation (ICAMS), Ruhr-Universität Bochum, Germany. It is an in-person event only and will be limited to 30 participants. The registration will be confirmed on a first-come first-serve basis.

Please, register by sending an email to: [email protected]
