APS focus session and tutorial: electrons and ph ... (No replies)
Back to Event listings...
Dear colleagues and Psi-k-ers,
If you are going to the next APS March Meeting in Denver Colorado (Monday,
March 2, 2020 - Friday, March 6, 2020), we would like to attract your
attention to the focus session
16.01.03 Electrons, phonons, electron-phonon scattering, and phononics (DCOMP, DMP)
https://www.aps.org/meetings/march/focus.cfm#160103
The session is organized by David J. Singh (University of Missouri, [email protected]), Ivana Savic (Tyndall Institute, [email protected]), Matthieu Verstraete (Universite de Liege, [email protected]), Xiulin Ruan (Purdue University, [email protected]), under the aegis of DCOMP and DMP.
We will focus on the physics of the coupling of electrons and phonons, principally through theory and numerical methods, but with several invited experimental perspective talks. We are continuing our expansion into thermal logic and phononics, but will also feature electrical and thermal transport, thermoelectrics, traditional and exotic superconductivity, and anharmonic dynamics.
You can submit your abstract directly at: https://www.aps.org/meetings/march/abstracts.cfm
Note that APS now runs through an external service Scholar One from Clarivate.
Select the Focus Session as Category 16.0 and subcategory 16.01.03 in the drop down lists in Step 3.
We have selected a very strong roster of invited speakers and hope to fill even more sessions than last year with your support.
All the best, and see you in Denver,
David Singh, Ivana Savic, Xiulin Ruan and Matthieu Verstraete
