We are pleased to announce the ADIS2018 workshop.

During the workshop recent progress in the development of ab initio based methods for the description of iron, steels and related materials will be discussed. It is the 7th workshop of a series of ADIS workshops and will be focused on thermodynamics, kinetics as well as structural defects, addressing in particular the impact of magnetism on these properties.

The ADIS workshops are characterized by Gordon style, tutorial-like one hour talks, which will in this year be given by I. Abrikosov, A. Bergman, S. Biermann, M. Eisenbach, Pui-Wai Ma, I. Mirabeau, R. Otis, T. Paxton, A. Ruban, A. Shapeev, P. Thibaudeau. There will be several contributed talks and extensive poster sessions. The programme will give enough space for intensive discussions in the inspiring cooperation promoting atmosphere of Ringberg castle.

The conference site is limited to 40 participants only and a few more can stay in a nearby hotel. Therefore, if you are interested in attending the seminar please inform us as soon as possible by sending an email to [email protected].
