Dear Psi-k Community,

we are running a 3-day school to teach and demonstrate DMFT (using the TRIQS package) and quasiparticle self-consistent GW (using QUESTAAL) and the combination of the two, leading to the calculation of self-energies and dynamical susceptibilities for selected strongly correlated materials (eg, lanthanum copper oxide).

Day 1: introduction to DMFT and TRIQS
Day 2: performing QSGW calculations
Day 3: combining QSGW with DMFT; interpreting results

Local costs (accommodation in Chester and transport to Daresbury Laboratory) are covered by the school thanks to sponsorship from CECAM (this is a CECAM Flagship School), Psi-k and CCP9, and there is no registration fee.  Some experience of materials modelling beyond DFT is necessary for this school.

Dates: 11 - 13 May 2020
Location: Daresbury Laboratory, UK (accommodation in nearby Chester)
Registration: http://www.cvent.com/d/znq026
Registration deadline: 5 April 2020

Organisers: Mark van Schilfgaarde (King's College London), Jerome Jackson (Daresbury Laboratory), Silke Biermann (Ecole Polytechnique), Cedric Weber (KCL), Leon Petit (DL), Dimitar Pashov (KCL)
