Dear Colleagues,

We are delighted to announce the

14th ETSF Young Researchers Meeting
June 5-9 2017, ICIQ Tarragona, Spain

The Young Researchers' Meeting (YRM) of the European Theoretical Spectroscopy Facility (ETSF) is an annual workshop for non-permanent scientists (postdocs, PhD students and Master students) who work on theoretical and computational methods for the study of the electronic and optical properties of materials.

Sessions:
   •  Structure Prediction and Phase Transitions
   •  Strongly Correlated Electrons and Quantum Magnetism
   •  Electronic Excitations
   •  Vibrations and Electron-Phonon Coupling
   •  Quantum Transport and Electron Dynamics
   •  Industry day dedicated to talks by researchers from the private sector who will share their experience of working in a non-academic setting
   •  Session on the future of scientific publishing with representatives from the newly founded "SciPost" and "Quantum" non-profit journals

The YRM is a unique chance for young researchers to showcase their work, exchange ideas with others at their own level, learn novel techniques, start new collaborations, and improve their presentation skills. Costs for attending the meeting are kept low thanks to support by Psi-k, ICIQ and others.
We therefore kindly ask our senior colleagues to spread the word in their research groups and to encourage their younger coworkers to submit an abstract for a talk or a poster.

Registration is now OPEN (number of participants is limited to 90).
Deadline for abstract submission is April 10th 2017.
