One PhD position is available immediately in the new Molecular Transport group to work on single molecule transport theory. The position is fully funded by a grant from the Czech Science Agency.

The project uses DFT-NEGF methods to model the flow of an electrical current across molecules placed between two nanoelectrodes. The project will focus on the development of approximations to calculate conductance and on their application to a large number of junction structures.
