Materials by design symposium @ EUROMAT2017 (1 reply)
Dear colleagues,
The deadline to submit your abstracts for the "Materials by Design" A8 symposium at the EUROMAT 2017 is approaching (January, 31st). EUROMAT 2017 is a conference to be held in Thessaloniki, Greece, September, 17-22, 2017 (http://euromat2017.fems.eu/)
You are welcome to present recent discoveries and developments, both at the experimental and theoretical level, on both bulk perovskites and related materials, as well as thin films and heterostructures.
The symposium will cover several topics in the area of perovskites and related materials, namely:
- Interfacial properties and 2 dimensional electron gas;
- Ferroics, multiferroics and magnetoelectric materials;
- Metal-insulator phase transition phenomena;
- Flexoelectricity;
- Electro/Magneto/Elasto-caloric effects;
- Advances in ab initio calculations and experimental methods;
- Domain boundary phenomena;
- Light-induced phenomena.
INVITED SPEAKERS :
Guus Rijnders, University of Twente, Netherlands
Jorge Íñiguez, Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology, Luxembourg
