The Quantum Transport Theory Group (https://wiki.physics.udel.edu/qttg), led by Prof. Branislav K. Nikolic, has an opening for a postdoctoral scholar to perform theoretical and computational work in the Materials Research Science and Engineering Center (MRSEC) at the University of Delaware (UD) recently established by the US National Science Foundation (https://mrsec.udel.edu/). The  postdoc will work as part of a team that is focused on THz excitations in heterostructures of magnetic and quantum materials driven by ultrafast laser pulses. A candidate should have experience with OCTOPUS (https://octopus-code.org/) or SALMON (https://salmon-tddft.jp/) time-dependent density function theory (TDDDFT) + Maxwell codes, or experience in time-dependent  nonequilibirum Green functions (TDNEGF) and interest to contribute to our home grown TDNEGF+LLG code (https://wiki.physics.udel.edu/qttg/Publications). The applicant should have a PhD in condensed matter physics or related field.
